FIRE & ICE Summer Science for AGES 8-11

Service Description

August 7 - 11, 2023 9:00am - 2:00pm Science exploration begins with observation. What do you see? What is happening? Look at the properties of fire and ice in a new way with hands-on experiments and challenges each day. By strengthening their powers of observation, children discover a stronger connection to others and their environment. The exploration continues as children prepare daily snacks over the fire or using ice. School Break Adventures at Space & Grace Learning offer a wholistic approach to child development. Your child will experience a wealth of social games, imagination building activities and openings for individual creative expression. Each day helps your child grow and develop through age appropriate activities. Each day is a balance of activity and rest. Each day is full of curiosity and fun! 💕 Daily Schedule 9:00am-11:30pm Activities devoted to the theme of the week and snack. 11:30am -2:00pm Walk to Sewellcrest or Laurelhurst Park for lunch and free play. Maximum Class Size: 8 Minimum Class Size: 4 We will be outdoors all day. Pack appropriate gear for the weather (sunscreen, rain gear, extra socks, etc), water bottle, hearty snack, and lunch in an over the shoulders hands-hands free pack. A complete registration form and payment invoice will be sent once you register for the Adventure. Discounts for multiple family members and multiple weeks attended. Safety protocols will follow CDC and Portland Public School recommendations.
